High Level Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the optimal functioning of our in-house technology and systems, focusing primarily on our Mobile Device Management (MDM), predominantly for MacBook devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-line support to our employees, ensuring smooth and secure operations across all our locations, including remote support for our branches in the UK and USA.

Here’s a snapshot of your Askable days

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance either in-person or over Slack, phone or email
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware, with a particular focus on MacBooks and Google-based applications
  • Manage user accounts and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Work closely with our network provider to ensure seamless office network functionality and security
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems, respond to issues, and engage with employees about their concerns
  • Support the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Provide out-of-hours support for our international branches as needed
  • Document internal procedures and maintain logs of requests for further assessment

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the IT Industry
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a relevant field is preferred
  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of remote control
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills and patience when interacting with non-technical people
  • Flexibility to accommodate support in different time zones
  • Ambitious to learn new technologies

Our ideal person will be adept with Mac operating systems, demonstrating the capacity to navigate and troubleshoot effectively. A background in Mobile Device Management (MDM), particularly with Kandji, is sought after, as it's crucial for ensuring seamless integration and security of our devices. Experience in evaluating and deploying new technologies as well as guiding our team through training and adaptation processes is fundamental.
