About Askable

Askable has been changing the game in research and insights since 2017. Born in Brisbane, Australia, Askable has bootstrapped its way to a global expansion. We’ve gone from 0-40 people in 6 years and following another stellar year of growth, we’re looking to bring on the right people to help us get to the next level.

Our culture

When you join Askable, it’s not just another job. You’ll have the chance to build something that really matters. Our platform was built by UX researchers, for UX researchers. Our customers' experience comes first, always. Our company culture is very precious and highly valued. It‘s who we are and how we operate. At Askable, culture is more than having Friday beers, company ‘fun days’ and other benefits (sure, we do these things too), culture here is about creating a sense of belonging, and helping every person unlock their ultimate impact. In short, culture is vital to our success. So much so, we even wrote a book on our culture. If you’d like to learn more, get in touch and we’ll send you a copy.

High level role overview

Askable is changing the game in the UX Research space. “How do you do that?” you might ask. “With the best team ever” we will respond. And this is where you come in. Our Product team makes up a third of Askable’s headcount and includes a diverse group of people. From Designers, to Engineers and Product Marketing, we work as one, and we believe that is how you build the best solution!

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our product team and help us build a world class end to end research platform. We want engineers who not only push the envelope, but completely destroy it! We're passionate about new technologies and have the stack to prove it.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working across both the front end and back end to create not only functional but beautiful solutions, aligned with our way of working
  • Regularly engaging with our product designers, contributing ideas, and ensuring “pixel-perfect” implementation of our interface designs.
  • Contributing to the Product team confidently in a way that embodies Askable's values and culture.
  • Building and testing your code time after time, whether it be for bugs or brand new solutions. Your attention to detail ensures robust, reliable implementations.
  • Keeping the team informed about emerging technologies and trends in the market, positioning us at the cutting edge of industry innovation.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • As an engineer passionate about Askable, you’ll become a technical expert on our product, understanding every aspect from front to back once you're up to speed.
  • Working with a stack that includes GraphQL, React, TypeScript, NextJS and TailwindCSS to mention a few.

What you’ll bring:

  • A few years' experience working with some or all of our tech stack would be awesome.
  • A passion for new and emerging tech.
  • You'll have an eagerness to jump in and get stuff done.
  • A keen interest in research and design won't go astray.

Benefits

We have loads of incredible employee benefits that I’d love to shout about. But if you’re genuinely interested in this role, let’s chat about them over coffee instead 😊

Final thoughts

If you’re reading this and are excited but a little scared because you don’t think you have it all, research shows that some people are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single criteria so that’s a normal feeling. At Askable, we are committed to building diverse teams so please apply even if your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the requirements.
