What is Ask AI?

Ask AI turns a plain-language question into a structured answer about your own research. Ask in your own words and it returns insights, each one linked to the participants behind it, the quotes they said, and the moment in the session it came from.

How is Ask AI different from putting transcripts into ChatGPT?

Ask AI processes every session individually rather than reading a pile of transcripts in one pass, so nothing is lost in a long input. It scores every piece of evidence, so strong and weak evidence do not count equally. And because the session ran on Askable, every claim stays attached to the participant profile, their screening responses, and the timestamped clip.

What can you ask Ask AI about?

Every recorded session your team has run on Askable, plus any Askable Stream you subscribe to. Ask in plain language, narrow by age, gender, country or timeframe, or just describe the group and the topic you mean. Nothing has to be tagged first. Surveys sit outside the evidence base, and a session recorded with both video and screen capture turned off does not feed it.

Can I use it on research I've already run elsewhere?

No. Ask AI works on sessions run on Askable, because the scoring depends on participant verification, screening responses and session metadata that an uploaded file does not carry. Recordings from Zoom, Google Meet or another platform cannot be imported, and sessions that ran before your team joined Askable are not reprocessed.

What's the risk if I rely on it?

Ask AI builds insights only from evidence that already exists, each piece tied to a verified participant and a real moment in a session. A claim with nothing underneath it has nothing to be built from. Every insight carries a quality score based on the evidence supporting it, and every quote links to the clip, so you can see how well supported an answer is rather than taking it on trust. One thing it deliberately will not do is count. It tells you how strongly a pattern appears, not how many people said it.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your customer data is not used to train AI models, and AI processing keeps each team's data separate. Full detail is in the Trust Centre.
